Meet Our Team
Deukyoung Cha, PT, DPT
Founder & Clinical Director, Cha Physical Therapy
Member, American Physical Therapy Association (since 2003)
APTA Credentialed Clinical Instructor
For over 25 years, Dr. Cha has devoted his life to mastering the art and science of physical therapy, transforming his practice into a pursuit of excellence that honors both his patients and his craft. Armed with his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Stony Brook University, he approaches each patient encounter not merely as a treatment session, as a profound opportunity to deliver the highest level of care while continuously deepening his understanding of the human body's infinite complexity.
Dr. Cha's philosophy centers on seeing the human body as a micro-universe—an intricate system where every movement, breath, and posture connects to create optimal health. His methodical approach begins with normalizing movement as the foundation, then progresses to optimizing breathing and postural alignment, ensuring that healing occurs at the deepest level possible.
This dedication to mastery extends beyond the clinic walls. As an avid hiker, climber, and cyclist, and through his disciplined practice of the traditional Korean martial arts of Kuksun-Do and Gicheon, Dr. Cha embodies the very principles of movement integrity and balance that he teaches his patients. His commitment to family as a devoted husband and father reflects the same values of care, dedication, and honor that define his approach to healing—making him not just a practitioner, a living example of the holistic wellness he helps others achieve.
